Life outside the estate
The estate is situated in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, a fascinating landscape that deserves to be explored in real life, not just in the paintings by the Sienese School, perhaps by touring the area with a local guide or by mountain bike, or simply sitting in a bar. The area also has numerous wine itineraries to offer, from the famous wineries of the Brunello di Montalcino wine-making district to the borders with Bolgheri, in the footsteps of the Super Tuscans.
Visitors could place their trust in a private driver or simply let themselves be led by whatever takes their fancy, immersing themselves in Tuscany’s charm and visiting it by bike, on horseback or by quad bike. The region has so much to offer, such as the classical charms of Florence and Siena, the unspoilt Crete Senesi, truffle hunting, visits to the San Quirico d’Orcia oil press, and Tuscan pecorino and Cinta Senese tasting. It is also a great place to pause for a while, pondering the wondrous ways of bees before taking off in a hot air balloon.
