A hole-by-hole description by Tom Weiskopf

The Outward 9

  • Hole 1

A medium-length par 4 that plays downhill, has a lot of character and a vertical drop of more than 40 meters. The green is protected by a large bunker to the right while the tee reveals the drama of the Estate’s topography.

  • Hole 2

A par 4 with a slight dogleg to the right. This hole meanders along a beautiful stream and treed ravine. The green is guarded on the right by a large bunker that also serves to stop the errant shot from finding the water.

  • Hole 3

A straightforward par 4, slightly uphill from tee to green. Running along the top of a ridge, this hole rewards with a very panoramic view of the property. Two bunkers guard the tee shot landing area to the left.

  • Hole 4

A very long, visually stunning and extremely downhill par 5. A big bunker guards the right side of this fairway, and two bunkers (right and left) protect the green.

  • Hole 5

A medium-length par 3. The undulating green sits on a ledge and is protected by one bunker short right and another on the left.

  • Hole 6

A very short, potentially reachable par 4. A bunker on the right side of the fairway, two bunkers on the right side of the green and a ravine entirely down the left side give this hole its personality and challenge.

  • Hole 7

A picturesque par 3 with a hill on the right and guarded on the left by a ravine, trees and two bunkers.

  • Hole 8

A short par 5, played almost entirely uphill. This fairway is protected on the left by one large bunker; another bunker protects the left side of a small, challenging green.

  • Hole 9

A slightly uphill dogleg to the right that plays along CdB’s cypress-lined drive. This long par 4 plays on top of a ridge overlooking the back and front nine. A beautiful golf hole all around.

The Inward 9

  • Hole 10

A very dramatic par 4. One of the more natural settings for a golf hole you’ll see on this or any other course. The green is nestled behind a beautiful stand of trees — this is destined to become the "signature" hole.

  • Hole 11

A perfect par 5. Meandering down and along the entire right side of this hole is a ravine, a creek and a huge stand of trees. Bunkers on the left side of the landing area off the tee, and bunkers right and left short of the green protect the approaches.

  • Hole 12

A very long straight-away par 4 paralleling the same wooded stream bed as Hole 11. A bunker secures the left side of this green.

  • Hole 13

A medium-length par 3 surrounded by bunkers in front and to the right of the green. This is a very challenging hole.

  • Hole 14

A short straight-away par 4 with a bunker on the left side of the fairway. A stream bed meanders down the entire right side of this hole, and a pot bunker is located directly in front of a lateral green – a challenging hole.

  • Hole 15

A somewhat short uphill par 5 that plays along the stream. The green is small and protected by a deep, singular bunker on the right.

  • Hole 16

A straightaway par 4; however, the second shot goes uphill more than 10 meters to a semi-blind green that is bunkered in the front right and left. These two bunkers are well short of the green and create the illusion that they are right on the green itself — a tricky little hole.

  • Hole 17

The shortest par 3 on the golf course, but picture-perfect slightly uphill with a very small green encircled entirely by sand bunkers.

  • Hole 18

A medium-length par 4. The tee shot plays slightly uphill leading to a second uphill shot. The green is fronted by a deep bunker to the left — truly a wonderful finishing hole.
