Il Borgo
Just as it has been for hundreds of years, Il Borgo is the heart of the Estate. Perched on one of the highest hilltops, its ten buildings include the original landowner's Villa, the Cantina Vecchia, Scuderie, Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo and Canonica (priest's house). These buildings have been respectfully renovated to accommodate many of the Estate's exceptional amenities, including:
Sixteen sumptuous guest Suites, with 26 Suites and Guestrooms total (opening Spring 2009), ranging in size from 750 to 2,500 square feet
La Canonica, once the priest's house, now hosts a cooking school, two restaurants featuring seasonal menus and regional wine, an enoteca, bottega, negozio (traditional store), and a cozy bar and library featuring a cigar and cognac lounge
An organic Orto (Italian kitchen garden)
