The VillasThe Villas

Located in the most picturesque areas of the Estate are twenty17th and 18th century Tuscan farmhouses that once supported the Estate's traditional agricultural activities. Nine of these homes, ranging in size from 3,000 to 6,000 square feet, have been transformed into luxurious Villas for the exclusive use of Castiglion del Bosco Club Members and Resort Guests. Some are tucked away in the forest, others overlook vineyards and olive groves, a few nestle inside the Borgo and one sits proudly next to the castle ruins, but all enchant with stunning views of the Tuscan countryside.

While each Villa is unique, they are unified by a décor which channels the heritage and the rich colors of the surrounding Sienese landscape. Through the careful selection of materials and furniture, from antiques and special items created by local craftsmen to fabrics made of the softest natural fibers, each Villa combines respect for local traditions with cosmopolitan elegance and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

All Villas feature gorgeously landscaped lawns and gardens, and each one has a heated outdoor pool in natural stone. A pergola-covered barbeque terrace and well-equipped kitchens crafted by leading Tuscan designer Riccardo Barthel provide luxurious culinary playspaces for Members and Guests, who may also elect to have a personal chef prepare in-villa meals. Each villa features discreetly hidden, state-of-the-art communications and home entertainment technology, including LCD TVs, WiFi internet and iPod stations. Additional comforts found at many of the Villas include a pool house, guest house, tennis court, extra bedroom for in-villa staff and original outdoor wood-burning ovens. In restoring the Estate's Villas, great attention has been paid to design and details to ensure Tuscan authenticity and the highest level of comfort.
